System Dynamics

To bring reclaimed building products back into productive use requires more than just demonstrating technical feasibility of environmental and economic benefit. It will require a whole systems re-design requiring the co-ordination of  many actors and creating the right enabling conditions. This is a complex adaptive systems challenge. 

REBUILD is using a technique known as system dynamics to model the various actors and variables that reinforce current system behaviours and the variables and factors that can be leveraged to alter the system behaviour and outcomes. 

We are currently combining the outputs from all the stages of our work to build a Systems Dynamics model to design and optimise future circular economy systems. Updates on this work will be added in the near future.
